Favour ethical companies.

The sinking of the Erika, eggs contaminated by Fipronil, Dieselgate or Volkswagen emission scandal, Monsanto case, banks investing hugely in fossil energy… In the name of profitability and in order to ensure a return on the investments of shareholders, a large number of companies intentionally fail to cope with or minimize the environmental and social impacts (on employees, consumers etc) of their activity.

Never asking questions, trusting ads blindly, believing ready-made “packaged” speeches we can hear every day is the best way to continue along the path we are asked to follow at all costs: greater profit margins again and again for a few people at the expense of the rest of population and of our planet.

Yes

Buying goods or services ensuring ethical production processes is good for everyone: employees will work in decent conditions, the planet will be better off and you will have good (‘green’) conscience too ! It’s up to you !

the trick to take up the challenge

There are numerous mobile apps to help you 24/7. In most cases, you only need to scan the barcode of the product you wish to buy. A page will appear mentioning the product quality, its method of production, impact on the environment or on your health and alternatives will be suggested. Do not hesitate to rely on the many labels that exist. They guarantee a certain ethic as far as products manufacturing methods are concerned.
